Information we collect
When you price a garage door or book service, we collect the property address you enter, the options you configure, and the contact details you provide — your name, email address and mobile number. If you pay a deposit or a tune-up online, our payment processor handles your card details; we never see or store your full card number.
We also record technical information about your visit: pages viewed, the steps you complete, your approximate location, device and browser type, and the marketing source or campaign that referred you.
How we use it
- Preparing your quote and confirming your installation or service appointment.
- Contacting you about your project by email, phone or text message.
- Routing your request to the A1 location that serves your ZIP code.
- Processing deposits, payments and financing applications you choose to submit.
- Measuring which marketing campaigns bring homeowners to us, and improving the site.
Text messages and email
We send appointment confirmations and reminders to the mobile number and email address you give us. You can reply STOP to any text message to opt out of texts, or use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. Service and appointment messages related to work you have booked may still be sent.
Sharing
We share information with service providers who operate this platform on our behalf — hosting, mapping and imagery, payment processing, financing partners, communications providers, analytics and advertising platforms — and only as needed to deliver the service. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and similar technology to keep your configuration as you move through the site, to remember the marketing source that referred you, and to measure advertising performance. You can block cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the experience may not work as intended if you do.
Data retention and security
We keep quote, order and service records for as long as needed to service your property, meet warranty obligations and comply with our legal and accounting requirements. Access to customer records is restricted to authorized A1 staff, and location staff can only see records for the markets they are assigned to.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or opt out of marketing communications, by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state privacy law.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
